Welcome to Plant City Movers! By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should refrain from using our website and services.

1. Services Provided

Plant City Movers offers residential and commercial moving services, long-distance and local moving, moving and storage, as well as packing and unpacking services. The scope of the services will be as agreed upon in the specific moving agreement or contract.

2. Acceptance of Agreement

By hiring Plant City Movers, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any other applicable agreements, policies, or guidelines that govern your use of our services. This contract shall remain in full effect until completion of the moving services or until terminated by either party in accordance with these Terms.

3. Pricing and Payment Terms

  • Pricing: The price for moving services will be provided as a quote based on the estimated number of items, distance, and any additional services (such as packing or storage). Prices are subject to change if the scope of the move changes, including but not limited to changes in the amount of items being moved, the distance, or the need for additional services.

  • Payment: Payments must be made as outlined in the service agreement or invoice. Plant City Movers accepts various forms of payment, including credit/debit cards, checks, or cash. Payment must be made before the service is rendered, or as per the payment plan outlined in the agreement.

  • Deposit: A deposit may be required to secure your move date, which will be deducted from your total bill.

  • Late Payments: Late payments may result in additional fees or the postponement of services. A late payment fee may be applied if the payment is not made on time.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your moving date, you must notify Plant City Movers at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

  • Refunds: Refunds are only issued if services were not provided or if Plant City Movers fails to meet the agreed-upon terms. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time frame and based on the circumstances of the cancellation or service issue.

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about the move, including the inventory, access to your property, and any special requirements. Any failure to provide accurate information may result in additional charges or delays.

  • Packing and Labeling: You are responsible for properly packing and labeling your items unless you have chosen Plant City Movers’ packing services. Items that are not packed properly or are improperly labeled may be subject to delays, damage, or additional fees.

  • Access and Parking: You are responsible for providing adequate access to both the pickup and delivery locations, including parking for the moving truck. Any issues related to access or parking (such as restricted entry or lack of parking space) may result in delays or extra charges.

  • Valuables and Fragile Items: You are responsible for securing valuable, irreplaceable, or fragile items such as jewelry, important documents, or electronics. Plant City Movers is not responsible for loss or damage to such items unless they are packed by us.

6. Liability and Damages

  • Damages During Move: Plant City Movers will make every effort to handle your belongings with care. However, we are not responsible for any damage to items that are not properly packed or for items that are fragile and not marked accordingly. Our liability is limited to the amount of the insurance coverage provided by our moving insurance policy.

  • Insurance: We provide basic insurance coverage for your move, which will cover damages to your items up to a certain value. Additional coverage options may be available for purchase. You must notify us in advance if you require additional insurance.

  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for any delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, or other unforeseen events.

7. Prohibited Items

Certain items are prohibited from being moved by Plant City Movers due to safety and legal reasons. These items include, but are not limited to:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, corrosive, or explosive items)
  • Animals, pets, or plants
  • Perishable food
  • Illegal substances
  • Firearms or ammunition

It is your responsibility to ensure that prohibited items are not included in the moving inventory.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Plant City Movers reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed about any updates.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue through negotiation or mediation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with Florida law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms shall be conducted in the courts of the State of Florida.

11. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We will use the information you provide us only in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
